Buggy SoftwareReally? I am afraid so.
BugRat is now at release 2.5.3. This release supports several databases, and it considered to be stable. It is in production at a number of sites, including GJT, Careersite.com, and others.
The BugRat homepage has more details and download links.
An experienced programmer, with a complete specification, all necessary development tools, sufficient time, and proper motivation, can create virtually bug free software. For the rest of the code, there's BugRAT!
BugRAT is a 100% Java system built on top of JDBC, JavaMail, Servlets, and Swing. The current incantation is built on top of the excellent relational database, MySQL. With the power of a relational database at its heart, the cross platform strength of Java, and the web melding provided by Servlets, BugRAT is a very flexible and powerful bug tracking system.
You can submit a bug report on any GJT package using the BugRAT bug reporting web page.
You can also email a bug report on any GJT package using a standard email form.
You can also use the menu on the left to navigate the bug tracking system.
